"Canet Division"

Soldiers pose in Monte Santo, in the square used for the army's encampment, next to the Canet 150 mm rapid-fire cannon, French model. The cannon was never used in Canudos, as it was feared that moving along the precarious roads would delay the troops in the final assault.
