Capt. R.F. Case and Master Sgt. Carmen Simpello of the 105th Infantry, New York National Guard, are shown checking the firing mechanism of a bazooka. They are using a specially designed portable "bazooka Tester," produced by the General Electric Company, to discover faulty mechanisms which do not develop sufficient electric energy to fire the fuse of the rocket. The pocket sized instrument, carried as standard equipment by military units which operate bazookas, was developed by the U.S Rock Island Arsenal in Iowa. It was recently transferred to the GE Meter and Instrument Department at Lynn Mass., where it has been improved and is now being manufactured in quantity
