Car destroyed by accident

Another of the situations that occurred frequently were the accidents that the pilots had when they crashed into trees or fences, a consequence of the high speed at which they were going. Added to this were the changes in climate to which they were exposed. During this race several pilots lost their lives; this being the main reason why the Mexican government suspended the race after its fifth edition.
