Any recent visitor to New York City knows that the familiar tourist stops and city features, from the New York Public Library lions to Central Park's carriages, are all available as souvenirs in the many hundreds of souvenir shops around the city. An image of a checker cab may adorn a shot glass, a necktie, or live inside a snowglobe. One of the most famous--and ubiquitous--symbols of the Big Apple is the Statue of Liberty. From the moment you arrive at the airport or even visit a thruway stop South of Albany, you'll see images of Lady Liberty. It is fitting that the Statue is printed on many different varieties of playing cards--the ubiquitous gaming devices.
