Card game:Auction Letters

Parker Brothers' Auction Letters game, from about 1900, is a combination word-spelling and trading points game. In trading card games of this era, an extra set of cards serves at points or money. In this example, they serve as money for "bidding" on letter cards. The first to spell a four-letter word is the winner. Like so many other games of this period, this game is both educational and entertaining.
