Among antique card games, few are unique. The Yankee Doodle game may be such. Players must play first red, then white, then blue cards along with flag cards. All cards are marked with point and some are marked for individual states. So the game taught the names of the states as one played. Besides a clear McLoughlin Brothers copyright date of 1899, the box cover bears a fine and early illustration of Uncle Sam.
