An early card game made in New York State, "A Merry Game of Odd Figures," originated in Albany. R.H. Pease of Albany appears to have publixhed the game and Charles E. Morey designed it. Although the actual cards are not present, the instruction sheet marks the game as an unusual combination of a trading game, a puzzle game, and a reading game. The game may date from the middle of the nineteenth century, because of the simple and hand-colored box cover graphics.
