Proverbs, made by Noyes & Snow of Boston, is a simple reading game, played best by a group. A proverb is printed on each card and the first player reads the first and last words of the proverb only. The player guessing the proverb wins the card. It seems incredibly simple, but one hundred years later it is difficult to discern the meaning in many of these printed sayings. This version is the second series of these manufactured, so the game must have been somewhat popular.
