card game: Spellfire

TSR, Inc. published the collectible card game Spellfire beginning in 1994, on the heels of Wizards of the Coast's wildly successful Magic: The Gathering card game. Spellfire found many fans, some of whom appreciated the game's relationship with and imagery taken from the world of Dungeons & Dragons, which TSR also published. But Spellfire never achieved the addictive fame of Magic, nor did its individual early cards become such valuable collector treasures.
