First published in 1906, Rook was the USA's best-selling game by 1913, and remained Parker Brothers' #1 selling game until they published Monopoly. Like bridge and Lost Heir, Rook is a trick-taking game. And similar to both, Rook includes bidding for tricks a player hopes to take. The rook card is a joker, worth more points than any other card. Rook is still manufactured, played, played in tournaments, and played online. There are many official variations of Rook and Rook may also be played with a standard card deck and a Joker.
This version of Rook dates from after 1926.
