Many card games from the later 19th century for young children drew a character or situation from popular nursery rhymes. The game of Jack Sprat, by McLoughlin Brothers, is one such game. The game comes with an instruction sheet and is a trick taking game. It is unusual in that two separate piles, the 'fat' and the 'lean' can be played at the same time. Cards are ranked with points and the player with the most at the end wins.
