Card game:The Game of Trades

The Game of Trades card game is a typical late 19th century card game played exactly the same way as the famous game Authors. In this game specific trades and tools for each trade are listed on the playing cards, with no illustrations. It made for a simpler, perhaps slighly less literary version of the game. And it certainly taught the names of tools and trades. It may have been particularly more attractive to boys during this period.
