Caricature of President Jânio da Silva Quadros (Campo Grande, 25 January 1917 - São Paulo, 16 February 1992), lawyer, professor and Brazilian politician. He was mayor and governor of São Paulo in the 1950s. Then he was the twenty-second president of Brazil, between January 31, 1961 and August 25, 1961, the date on which he resigned. In 1985, he was elected mayor of São Paulo again, taking office on January 1, 1986, this being his last elective term.
