Catalog numbers E394453 (left) and E394454 (right), a pair of carved walrus ivory tusks. These tusks were collected by Edward Darlington Jones from Nunivak Island, Alaska. E394453 features openwork carvings representing different animals, including bears, seals, walruses, and fish, and terminating at the base of the tusk in a carving of an eared mammal with an open mouth and rows of large teeth. E394454 features openwork carvings representing fish and mammals, including salmon and seals.
