This piece is one of the musical instruments along with their models, including sheng (笙), se (瑟), ruan (阮), pipa (琵琶), fangxiang (方响), clappers, etc., unearthed in Princess Xunyang’s tomb of State Yangwu in Caizhuang village, Hanjiang county of Yangzhou city in 1975. Made of solid wood, this pipa four strings and four frets has a neck that was folded into a right angle.
