Castle Dome City, located in the Castle Dome Mountains of southwestern Arizona, was a booming mining town in the late 1800s. Founded around rich silver and lead deposits, it once supported hundreds of residents with saloons, shops, and a post office. As ore yields declined, the town was gradually abandoned by the mid-20th century. Today, Castle Dome is a well-preserved ghost town and museum, offering a glimpse into Arizona’s rugged frontier mining history.
