In this painting, Insho captured the cat's affection for her offspring and the kittens' total trust in their mother in a relaxed peaceful scene. The kitten looking directly at the viewer, with soft and delicate fur inviting you to stroke it, is an exquisite accent of the painting. This painting was exhibited at the Peace Memorial Tokyo Exposition (1922) and received the Gold Award.
