Photograph of the 'Pont del Diable' showing two of its three pointed arches, spanning across the river Llobregat, and a stone chapel on the central apex. A woman in a black dress can be seen under the main arch. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert first purchased some of Clifford's Spanish photographs in 1854. This particular print is from a series of 159, published in two volumes in Madrid in 1861, under the patronage of Queen Victoria, Prince Albert, the King and Queen of Spain, the Emperors of France, Russia and Austria, the Duc de Montpensier and others.
