The kinds of hoes were also referred to as 'golgakji' and was used when they caught obunjagi (various colored abalone, Latin name: Haliotis diversicolor aquatilis), sea urchins or octopuses. The longer hoes were used to catch octopus whereas the short and sharp hoes were used to pluck the obhnjagi loose.
