Cathedral of San Giorgio - stairs

A beautiful and elegant staircase, which counts around 260 steps surrounded by small gardens, stands before the towering baroque façade of the church creating a unique scenic setting. The idea behind ​​the staircase, designed by the architect Alessandro Judica Cappellani between 1874 and 1875, was to connect the two sides of Modica.
