Full length Portrait of Catherine II, Empress of Russia (1762-1796), painted in 1787 in the French Rococo style. In her right hand the Empress holds a sword entwined with olive leaves- a sign of friendship and commitment for peace. The painting was sent to Grand Master Pinto as a sign for her admiration for his statesmanship and political acumen.
