CERN

CERN
Geneva, Switzerland

A view of part of the large hall of the new computer centre which is now in regular use. The hall housed the CDC 7600 (seen in the upper left-hand comer in image 135), which took over as CERN's central computer, and a CDC 6400 which served as a front-end machine channelling computing to and from the 7600. The empty area in front of the 7600 was to be used for the CDC 6500 when it moved over.
