Cedrela fissilis

The cedar has been often used to produce artworks in Brazil, such as the sculptures of Aleijadinho, for its wood is easy to work and presents good durability. In popular medicine, its infusion is indicated as an energizer and to treat fever, dysentery, arthritis, leucorrhea, and stammer. In Brazil, it is often found in the Amazon Forest and the Atlantic Forest.
