Naju, South Korea

This celadon melon-shaped bottle was found at Yongjangseong Fortress in Jindo. A variety of high-quality Goryeo celadons have been unearthed from this site, including melon-shaped bottles, plates, flower-shaped plates, cups, and bowls. These celadons, which are believed to have been brought by the Sambyeolcho army when they moved from Ganghwado Island to Jindo Island, reflect the quintessential styles of Goryeo celadon that were popular in the thirteenth century.
