St. Gregor's Day, which means the arrival of spring, has always been celebrated by the blacksmiths in Kropa and Kamna Gorica by "throwing light into the water". Every year, on 11 March, righ at dusk, Gregor's Day is still celebrated by children who make small boats and, light them up by candles, only to drop them later into crabs in Kamna Gorica and a pond in Kropa.
