Cello dating from 1781 and built by Joaquim José Galrão, a very skilled Portuguese builder of string instruments who had his workshop in Lisbon during the 17th century, standing out for the refinement of the instruments he produced. In the Museum's collection there are four other Galrão instruments: two violins (1780 and 1794), a cello (1769) and a viola (1780).
