This is a silver ceremonial cup. In this fine goblet were applied almost all the metalworking techniques that were known in ancient Peru: Laminating, mechanical joints, metallurgical joints, repoussé, chiseling, dotting, satinated finish, polishing, burnishing. In the area where the silver goblet was held, anthropomorphic wave designs were represented, sometimes holding the mullu (Spondylus sp.). Birds, circles and stepped designs were also represented. (UH)

(UH)
