Ceremonial vessel that represents the face of the ancestro ML100758

This is a ceremonial silver cup depicting the head of an ancestor, who has feline fangs and almond eyes, and wears a headband or circular band around the head and ears. On the back of the vase, vertical lines that could represent a woven ornament or a particular hairstyle are represented, above which there are two diagonal bands with chevron designs that meet at a circle, as if they were braids. The face of the ancestor is in an inverted position in relation to the vessel. (UH) Este es un vaso ceremonial de plata que representa la cabeza de un personaje ancestral, que tiene colmillos de felino y ojos almendrados, y usa una vincha o banda circular alrededor de la cabeza y orejeras. En la parte posterior del vaso se observan líneas verticales que podrían representar su peinado o un adorno tejido, sobre las cuales hay dos bandas diagonales con diseños de chevrones que se unen en un círculo, a manera de trenzas. La posición del rostro es inversa a la posición del vaso. (UH)
