Ceremonies Before Yaoshang Mei Thaba

Holi, the ancient Indian Festival of Colours is celebrated across the country in a variety of ways. The Spring festival of Yaoshang in Manipur begins after sunset in villages with the Yaoshang Mei thaba. A number of important rituals are performed before the symbolic straw hut is burned.
