Ceremony of the 25th anniversary of staff entries at CERN in 1955

On 17 October many of them gathered in the Auditorium in the presence of spouses, Directors and Division Leaders for a ceremony in honour of their 25 years of service. After a welcome by Dr. J. B. Adams and a speech by Professor L. Van Hove full of reminiscences of those eventful years, the Directors-General presented them with souvenir silver ingots and specially dedicated albums of photographs.
