On February 7, 1996, British Airways G-BOAD (also known as Concorde Alpha Delta) made the world’s fastest transatlantic crossing, completing the flight in only two hours, 52 minutes and 59 seconds. This airplane is now displayed at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. This certificate, given to the pilot, Captain Leslie Scott, confirms the date and time of the record-breaking flight from JFK Airport in New York City to Heathrow Airport in London. The aircraft had an average speed of 1,255 miles per hour (2,020 kmh).
