Certificate of Registration, a British identity card for refugees. Its purpose was to record each change of address and register the work permit. Issued to Jadwiga Pniewska on 12 December 1947 upon her arrival in England, by the duchy at the Cheshire police constabulary. Page 2 includes information that permission was granted to arrive in Liverpool by sea on 29 November 1947, provided that the document holder registers with the police at once and that she does not take or change employment without a permit from the Ministry of Labor and National Service. Page 3: work permit at the Polish hospital in Wrexham.
