Gualberta Alaide Beccari, born in Padua in 1842, founded the journal "La Donna2 in 1868. Focused on women's education and empowerment, 2La Donna2 covered a wide range of topics, from political discourse to scientific and artistic developments. After moving to Bologna in 1878, Beccari steered the journal towards championing workers' rights, particularly within the context of Mazzinian-inspired labor organizations. She died in Bologna in 1906.
