This deer skull with nearly complete antler belongs to Cervus sp. which is dominant in fossil amount in Cho-Chen fauna in the Middle Pleistocene. The Cho-Chen fauna includes mammalian fossils found in Tainan County in southwestern Taiwan by surface collection and screen washing, mainly along creek beds (Tsai-liao River) where sediments have been washed down from hillside exposures.
