The Khalili Collections
The shape of this dish seems to derive from late 17th-century Netherlandish silver and may have been a contemporary commission from the Dutch East India Company (VOC). The overall decoration of 4-petalled florets is a design, however, much more commonly found on Indian textiles of the period.
