The chalice bears the date of its dedication (1756). It was donated, along with a handled censer, by the monk Iakovos Anastasiou. It is characterized by the delicately worked repoussé seraphim and floral designs. It seems that, during the second half of the 18th century, Smyrna became an important production centre of church silverware. The commercial activity between the city and Patmos, along with the role of the Metochion of the Monastery at Smyrna, ensured their close communication and explains the existence of many works from Smyrna at the Monastery.

- Περιγραφή: Το Ποτήριο φέρει επιγραφή με την ημερομηνία της αφιέρωσής του (1756). Δωρήθηκε, μαζί με ένα καντζίο, από τον μοναχό Ιάκωβο Αναστασίου στη Μονή. Χαρακτηριστικά του αποτελούν τα εκλεπτυσμένα ανάγλυφα Σεραφείμ και η φυτική διακόσμηση. Φαίνεται ότι κατά το δεύτερο μισό του 18ου αιώνα η Σμύρνη έγινε σημαντικό κέντρο παραγωγής εκκλησιαστικής αργυροχοΐας. Η εμπορική δραστηριότητα ανάμεσα στην πόλη και στην Πάτμο, καθώς και ο ρόλος του Μετοχίου της Μονής του Θεολόγου στη Σμύρνη, διασφάλισαν τη στενή επικοινωνία τους και εξηγούν την ύπαρξη έργων σμυρναίικης προέλευσης στο Θησαυροφυλάκιο του Μοναστηριού.
