Challenge Shield presented to Dally Messenger

The Royal Agricultural Society Challenge Shield was the first premiership trophy of the New South Wales Rugby League. It was presented to winners of the premiership in the first six years of first-grade rugby league competition in Australia, from 1908 to 1913.
Eastern Suburbs won the competition three years running and the club gifted the trophy to Dally Messenger ‘in appreciation of his captaincy’.
