Chambre dans un tank à vide

Pressure vessels, known respectively as the small and the big submarine, used for prototype tests of the OPAL central detector. In the small submarine, the behaviour of sense wires stretched over long distances (4.5 mm) is studied. In the big submarine, full-size sector modules (octants) of the central detector are investigated.
