Chapel of Saint John the Baptism ceiling

The vault and its archivolts support a composition of fourteen hexagonal inserts and four hexagonal half-inserts with ancient yellow mouldings and a background in verde-antico decorated with bronze gilt rocaille rosettes, and also angel heads and wings emerging almost transparently in the composition, the whites of the respective marble accentuating the essence of a now animated space.
