This chest plate could be worn by either a man or a woman, and was often worn by warriors. The central "heart" of the chest plate and the geometric contour with a point facing downwards are traditions of the Bön religion. In Tibetan Buddhism the point on all geometric forms points upwards, symbolising heaven as the realm of the gods.
