In the Mewat region, shelves built into walls are known as chhajji. Such shelves are used to keep a variety of everyday objects. This shelf was used to store utensils of daily use. Containers, vessels, and tumblers were neatly arranged on this shelf. The edges of the plastic sheet spread on it, were cut in patterns by the daughter of the family.
