Md. Hridoy Ali, a student of class III of the Nasiarkandi Trimohona Boat School, reads book with the help of a solar lantern at his home, at Singra, Natore., Bangladesh. Bangladeshi Architect Mohammed Rezwan designed the Surya (sun) Hurricane (lantern), an innovative low-cost solar lantern made from recycled parts of the conventional and much used kerosene hurricane lantern. Solar lanterns provide families with high-quality light in the night for children to study and women to stitch katha (quilt) to earn extra income.
