Children of Mercy Eucharistic Procession, King William Street, Catholic congress

This photograph shows 1200 girls of the Roman Catholic group, the Children of Mary, marching in the Eucharistic procession that marked the conclusion of the Australian Catholic Education Congress held in Adelaide in 1936 (SA's centenary year). The girls are shown stretching south along King William Street from the intersection with Grenfell Street to beyond the Town Hall.
