During the Good Friday Procession, children carry the traditional lanterns as well as several of the Instruments of the Passion, symbols that recall the events of Christ's Crucifixion. Their participation enriches the symbolic meaning of the procession while helping to preserve a tradition that has involved generations of the Mendrisio community.
