The Children’s House, built by Ivan Fyodorovich Tyutchev for the younger members of the family, became the center of the whole universe for the children—an estate in miniature. Here a little garden was planted, and here lived everyone’s favorite, the donkey Anka. In this magical corner the children learned to love animals and care for them, to live in harmony with the surrounding world. Near the house there was a playground for children and adults. On the holidays fireworks were organized here, and in the evenings this area was lit up with illuminations.
