On its slightly curved, wide-backed blade there is a crowned two-headed eagle in a golden field, along with the initials M-T and F-C. Its hilt, decorated with carved and chiselled human figures, its curling cross-guard and hand-guard are of silver-gilt. On the rococo-style plates of the scabbard, covered with black leather, the human figures show up again. The name and workplace of the famous Győr goldsmith IOSEPH LIEBEL ARAAB can be read on the wide-back of the blade. The sabre once belonged to Count Ödön Zichy.
