Nicolae Petrascu, a good friend of Mincu, described the ambiance of the lounge: “An ecclesiastical lectern in a corner, pews, chairs and sculpted objects; a swing for babies designed by him in golden wood for his first child; the ceiling decorated with seeming girders separated by glazed blue boards. There was an old and grand bronze chandelier and a large marble chimney, with a marble medallion above it with the inscription “Architect Ion Mincu and his wife, Eliza”. Two or three modern paintings hanged on the walls.”
