Chorip is a boy's bamboo hat, allowed to wear his coming-of- age ceremony. Chorip is made in basketwork with thin bamboo strips, and ties made of black silk (simple gauze) are attached on the side. The visor of the hat is curved up a bit toward the edge. The hat is low and rim is narrow, thus it was barely worn but just sat upon the head.
