Panel depicting Christ handing over the keys from Heaven to St. Peter (Matthew, 16: 18-19), produced in 1707 for the old Galvão Mexia palace in Lisbon. It was part of a set of about twenty panels scattered after the demolition of the palace in 1899. The National Azulejo Museum has a Dance Lesson (MNAz inv. 1680 Az), classified as a National Interest Well in 2006. Van der Kloet, along with Jan Van Oort, is the most important Dutch painter who worked with Portuguese commissions, of which we can highlight a panel applied in the church of Madre de Deus, and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazareth.
