Lawn christening robe with Ayrshire work embroidery in white cotton in satin and stem stitches with trailing eyelet holes, cutwork and needlepoint lace fillings. Down the long front is a vertical pattern of five delicate floral stems with bunches of flowers between. Similar stems border the bottom of the robe and on the shoulder pieces. Small bodice front is closely covered with blossoms.
